Built on Heritage. Redesigned for Precision.

The story behind Precision Bowhunting & Archery Analytics — and the one person building it.

Hello — I’m Burak, the one behind this site. I’m a mechanical engineer by training, with an MSc, and I’ve been hooked on archery since I was a little boy. Those two things explain most of what you’ll find here: I can’t look at a bow without wanting to know the numbers behind it.

In 2018 I launched ArcheryBull.com with a simple mission — honest, field-tested archery knowledge without the gear hype. For more than 6 years it helped target archers and bowhunters dial in their setups, fine-tune their equipment and understand the physics behind every shot.

As bow technology and arrow ballistics moved on, static articles and basic tables stopped being enough. Whether you’re aiming at an 80-yard ring at a competition or tracking a bull in the backcountry, you don’t just need to read about trajectories and flight dynamics — you need to simulate them in real time.

So at the end of 2025 I made the call: sunset ArcheryBull.com and rebuild everything from the ground up. I spent months engineering high-precision interactive calculators, dynamic trajectory visualizers, kinetic energy matrices and flight stability checkers.

Welcome to Precision Bowhunting & Archery Analytics — the spiritual successor to ArcheryBull. Built on 8+ years of domain experience, redesigned to deliver precision for every archer, every bow and every shot.

I’m building this on my own

There’s no team here. It’s me, in the evenings, working through a list that is always longer than the time I have. That’s worth saying plainly, because it explains a few things: why some corners are still rough, why a tool occasionally does something odd, and why I take feedback so seriously.

If you find a number that looks wrong, a field that fights you, or a readout you had to look at twice — please tell me. It genuinely helps more than anything else you could do, and it usually gets fixed faster than you’d expect. The contact page is the fastest way to reach me, and screenshots are welcome.

Where the knowledge comes from

Every guide starts with what real shooters report on places like ArcheryTalk, Rokslide, TradTalk and Reddit, cross-checked against manufacturer specs and, where it exists, actual research. When I make a claim, I link where it came from. I don’t pretend to have tested gear I haven’t.

How this site makes money

ArcheryEra is reader-supported. If a guide helps you and you end up buying an arrow, a rest or any other piece of gear through one of the links on this site, I may earn a small commission. It doesn’t change what you pay — it just means the click helped fund the next tool or guide instead of going to an ad network.

I have a day job as a mechanical engineer; nobody gets into the archery industry to get rich. ArcheryEra exists because I like building it, and those commissions are what let me keep it that way — no team, no investors, just enough support to keep the Simulation Lab running and the guides coming.

Where it goes next

There’s no public vote or roadmap anymore — I’d rather hear directly what you want than guess from click counts. Got an idea for a tool? Tell me about it on the home page, or mail me directly here.
